Gay Fans Guide (“we,” “us,” “our“) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to the Site at https://gayfansguide.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name or username, email address, password (stored hashed), and subscription tier.
- Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor, TBD. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we receive limited data such as a transaction ID, subscription status, and partial card details from the processor.
- Newsletter data: your email address and the tier/segment you belong to, so we can send the correct newsletter (free vs. paid).
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and similar analytics data collected via Fathom and server logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for login sessions, age-gate acknowledgment, paywall/membership access, preferences, and analytics. See “Cookies” below.
- Communications: messages you send us (e.g., support requests).
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
2. How we use your information
- provide and secure the Site, your account, and paid content;
- process subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations through our processor;
- send the newsletter matching your subscription tier and transactional emails (receipts, renewal notices, security alerts);
- understand usage and improve our content and features;
- comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and prevent fraud or abuse.
3. Legal bases (for EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR/UK-GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (to provide subscriptions and accounts), legitimate interests (security, analytics, improving the Site), consent (marketing newsletters and non-essential cookies, which you may withdraw), and legal obligation.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed:
- Service providers / processors: payment processor TBD, email/newsletter provider Fluent CRM, hosting provider, and analytics provider Fathom, each acting on our behalf under contract.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.

5. Cookies
We use essential cookies (login, age-gate, paywall access) that are required for the Site to function, and optional analytics/preference cookies. You can control cookies through your browser and, where offered, our cookie banner. Blocking essential cookies may prevent access to paid content.
6. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party platforms and creator pages (e.g., OnlyFans). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Review their policies before providing information to them.
7. Data retention
We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Analytics data is retained per Fathom’s settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and a PCI-compliant payment processor). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) residents (and residents of other US states with privacy laws) have specific rights, including the right to non-discrimination for exercising them. 10. International transfers
We are based in Deleware, United States. If you access the Site from elsewhere, your data may be processed in the United States or other countries with different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Children
The Site is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact support@gayfansguide.com and we will delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy and will post the revised version with a new effective date.
