The clip is seconds long, but it leaves an impression. That is The Tab‘s own summary of the GIF that sent gay Twitter into a collective spiral in September: Ashton Summers flexing, hips pumping, no plot required. One post pulled in more than 30 million views. The Tab’s headline rounds it to 33 million.
He Was Already Here
The trick is that he didn’t arrive last month. Summers is the stage name of Osmar Óscar Rivera Sanjurjo, an OnlyFans creator and traditional porn performer who has worked with Twink Pop and Bromo, held an exclusive MEN.com contract, shot both topping and bottoming scenes, and ranks number 21 in the world.
“In other words, Ashton was already well established in the adult entertainment world before the internet decided to collectively discover him all over again,” Instinct Magazine notes.
The Mechanics of a Thirst Trap
The Tab’s Kieran Galpin frames the shift bluntly. “People in s*x work have always copped massive amounts of controversy,” he writes. “However, in more modern times, when performers can craft a personal brand on sites like TikTok and Twitter, we’ve started to think of OF gals and guys as more like influencers. With influencers come trends, and Ashton Summers is dominating Twitter with his.”
That reputation built the nickname. Fans call him a “golden boy” who needs to be “protected” at all costs, and Instinct describes him as “ridiculously well regarded in the spicy industry.”
The Imitation Economy
Then the internet did what it does. Users attempted the motion themselves and mostly failed. “I love trends, but I will not be participating in this sorry there only is one Ashton Summer and I will not be embarrassing myself fhdhdjfjfjj,” one person wrote. Another confessed, “I don’t know how he did it, but I tried.”
The Tab’s verdict: “People just can’t muster the same motion in the ocean, so here’s to hoping Ashton gives a tutorial for those trying to copy him.”
The Feed Split
His personal Instagram, under Osmar Sanjurjo, is shirtless selfies, travel shots, his dog, and a swimwear brand called Luca. Instinct lands the read: “his personal feed suggests he also enjoys the classic combination of dogs, travel and looking suspiciously good in minimal clothing.”
The OnlyFans pitch stays cheap and frictionless: $4.99 a month, roughly 80 posts.
For a performer who has been working for years, the GIF is just the door. Instinct’s closing line says it best: “Ashton Summers may have started with an OnlyFans following, but right now, the internet seems determined to make sure nobody forgets his name.”
